So, what’s the deal with Guzman y Gomez (or GYG for those in the know)?
Since day one, our team at GYG has been OBSESSED with making delicious Mexican food using only the best quality ingredients. We believe in real food made fresh and we’ll NEVER compromise on quality. At GYG, we genuinely believe that fast food doesn’t have to be bad food. It means we are bringing the best burritos you’ve ever tasted to the North Shore of Lake Michigan! And we’ll also be landing with a big party to celebrate – more on that below.
But first, a little bit more about us – GYG was founded in Australia in 2006 by childhood best friends who missed the authentic fresh flavors of Mexican cuisine they’d grown up with in New York. Now GYG is one of the world’s fastest-growing fast-food businesses with over 230 restaurants across the globe. In 2020, we brought GYG ‘home’ to the US, with the opening of our first dual-lane Drive Thru restaurant in Naperville, Illinois. Since then, GYG has grown across Chicagoland with an unwavering mission to reinvent fast food.
At GYG we start the day with an amazing breakfast menu including our iconic Breakfast Burritos and delicious Coffee, and our lunch and dinner menu is packed with fan favorites including Burritos & Bowls, Cali Burritos and our famous skin-on potato Fries.
